Gardening With A Small Style Scale
Small style scale gardens are very practical garden ideas for home that does not have a wide space for it. Lots of people with just small yards manage to design a worth garden within their narrow spaces. This will give us a spare for our gardening hobby. Today, there is no more too small space for gardening. We can all have our gardens no matter how narrow our garden space is.
Urban houses mostly have the concept of small scale gardening. For most of us, having limited space gives us much doubt in achieving our horticultural dreams. With a little planning and panning, this dream of ours will be easy to achieve. Even the balcony can be turned to a mini garden.
Aesthetically, anything green, flowering and colorful plant will help improve the look of our homes. For small spaces, it is best to have a large plant box where we can put a variety of plants in it. Mostly, pots with sizes of 18 or 24 inches in diameter will be perfect for the ideal large pot. Large planters and pots can be a bit heavy to move, so we better place it on the chosen area for us not to have difficulty in moving it after.
Whatever we decide to plant in our pot, we have to keep in mind that all these plants will share a single large planting box. Everything in it should require a balanced amount of water and light. We also need to aim for an eye-pleasing contrast, so choosing flowering plants with different colors have to at least match each other.
Plant box planting is more like a flower arranging. Only, in the plant box, we put in the plants before their growth. The key is to not be afraid in mixing vegetables with decorative flowers. The rich green color of the herbs will match perfectly with the flowering plants. Also, choose the plants that will look together even though they have different heights. A cluster of planters in the balcony corners with low lying shrubs are placed in front and center, while the medium plants behind and the climbers at the back. This way, we will be able to see all the plants without anything covering the other one, especially in that small space.
When all the plants are arranged in their desired positions, we can now decorate it more with some pebbles and other decorations. Remember though that they should be in small sizes so that they will all fit in the planting pot.
Once we have built our flower pot garden, we can now enjoy gardening. Remember that even though it is just a small scale garden, it also needs much caring and maintenance just like the regular garden. We have to water them regularly with much amount to moisture the whole plant box. We also have to pull out the weeds that will occupy the space of the plant box.
That is how we start our own small scale garden inside our homes. Now, we can get to enjoy our hobby even in without having much space for it.
