Writing A Script
Writing a script requires a lot of patience and editing. Scripts are often used for movies. This form of writing needs to be very carefully done. Though it requires professional writing skills, beginners can also try it.

Just by following a few simple steps, we can always try a habit of writing scripts. The following is a guideline on how to write a script correctly:
- First thing to remember is to get the story straight. We have to come up with lots of ideas of what we want to happen in our movie or play. There should be a premise and purpose for the story. The characters need to have their goals and principle that is relevant to the story.
- Second thing we should know is how to create such action with our characters. We have to make sure that each action of the characters produces an interesting and innovative play. Some writers create their characters right away, but others create them as the story goes. Once we are writing, the characters will evolve by themselves. That is the talent of writing. We don’t always have to begin with the complete background of the script. Sometimes, the story will reveal it to us as we go along.
- Another thing for us to remember is to first create an outline or treatment for the story. Before we actually begin writing our script, we need to have a sort of road map or the idea of how our story will go. We need to make a plan about how the story will unfold, and the events to be relevant with each other. Once we know this, we can start writing and we can continue with our script.
- As we go along writing our script, we should always try to maintain a certain style. Scripts are mixtures of speeches and styles. We should always have a main style for it. Too much script styles will make the story confusing.
- The dialogues of the characters should blend in with the background. They should have their own voice. This way, when the dialogue is being said, the reader or the audience will easily recognize who is the talking one.
- Next is to set the scene. We should be clear about the place of the story. Every detail of the place where the scene is being held should all be clear. Dialogues are affected by the place where the characters are.
- Last thing is to continue editing until the script is finish. We have to remember that scripts are not that easy and quick to write. It requires a lot of work, patience and editing. The key is to read our work from time to time so that we can add anything that is missing along the way.
That is how we create our very own script. Writers have different approaches when it comes to script writing. The idea is to have our own styles, and just have fun writing.
