Hippie Hip Hop Music
Hip hop music genre is developed by the alongside Hip hop culture. Its key is defined by stylistic essentials of music such as rapping, disc jockeying, sampling, beat boxing and scratching. Hi hop music rooted in the South Bronx in the 1970’s and became one of the most popular music genres of the youth until the new millennium.
For many people, hip hop is the expression of music with “angst”. This music genre signifies the life within the Bronx. The personality of the people there which are such attitude compare to the others. Their music brought lots of popular artists in the music industry which will be discussed further in this article.

Early Pioneers
Some of the first hip hop artirts that began performing in New York was Kool Herc and the Herculoids. Not long after that, the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five came into the picture. Afrikaa Bambaataa’s Universal Zulu Nation came into its fame. The Sugar Hill Gang’s song “Rapper’s Delight” was among the first hip hop recordings of all time. It featured the group’s three MC rhythms on a disco track. Over the years, a lot more rap and hip hop bands including solo artists have emerged. LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Jay Z, Eminem, Queen, and Snoop Dogg are just some of the most renowned hip hop artists of today.
Subculture
Together with the popularity of this music genre, also came the idea of break dancing; a form of dance that goes together with hip hop music. It was often performed in parties and later became popular around the world. Hip hop and break dance is usually performed by teenage kids. Some even created a sort of dance contest for hip hops and even rapping. It can be the one that keeps everyone still during a showdown party.
New School
During the 1990’s the hip hop music have been modernized due to the many artists that have appeared. New hip hop artists have experimented with their music and introduced modern scales for the hip hop genre. Along the years, hip hop has become sort of a Gangsta style that shows the confidence, attitude and angst of their personalities. Hip hop songs can even be violent sometimes. It shows the life of the inner cities where the most crimes are seen, and depicts the true city life showing the “badass” lifestyles.
Hip Hop and Neo-Soul
Since the hip hop music’s boost in the 1960’s it has still become one of the most influential music of the century. Hip hop has blended with other music genres that made it more interesting.
