Getting ready for exams can be very tricky at times. Exams are the most stressful part of being a student whether in high school or college. We can overcome this tress if we have enough preparation for each exam.

Here are the steps on how we can prepare for a coming examination:

  • We can try spending time practicing and studying more than the usual if the exams are coming. We have after-schools and weekends free for ourselves and we can use that time to study. We can go back to weekends spent hanging out with our friends after the exams.
  • At least one month before the scheduled exam, we can start studying. It is best to read back our past lessons when we have time so that we won’t forget the things that might be included in the exams.
  • We can also attend some review sessions or do tutoring. This will help us know more about the lessons that we didn’t quite understand.
  • If we are working students, we can ask our boss to give us a few days off before our exam so that we can concentrate on our studies. We can ask for our off at least two weeks before the exam so that our boss can arrange someone who will replace us for the days we won’t be working.
  • Get enough sleep the night before the examination day for at least eight hours straight.
  • The day before the exam, eat a healthy meal. We can eat salads and cereals but try not to have lots of carbohydrates. It tends to make us sleepy. Fresh salads and fruits will keep us awake during the exam.
  • While we are having breakfast, we can cram up our studied lessons and read them once again so that we are sure not to forget them when we are taking our exams. It is not required that we stress it out and try to remember everything. We just have to know something about the lesson, and it will come to our heads naturally.
  • If possible, we can ask our teachers to clear our uncertainties before the exam. This will help us focus more on the exam and not about other things.
  • Exams are going. The best thing we can do is to relax and not pressure ourselves. Sometimes if we pressure ourselves too much, we tend to get mental blocked and forget about everything we’ve studied.
