Religion – Does It Stands Out Equally At All Places?

Religion is a mix blend of culture, belief and views that establishes the relationship between humanity, spirituality and moral values. Religion is a major part of every culture and its evidence is found since the dawn of human civilization. But today especially in USA it seems that it has lost its lust. There are various religion in the whole world in which has cam and gone, while some are there today also and found many followers to it. The research was going on that, does religious people lead more life than other population? The answer emerged out with a surprise that, people who are religious live for 8 more years than other people. It is said that there is some link between religion and social problems. It is said that social problems do exist in religious population, but not to the same degree and hence the suicide rates are normally low in these group of people. 

Imparting knowledge of religion among children

It is important that in this modern arena since religion is losing its lust, parents should make their children read religious book. If the children are not reading the books, then parents should present the religion in such a manner that it becomes a medium of pleasure for them. Since, children when they are small have habit of listening stories from the family members, at this time parents should tell them the stories about bible, Kuran, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Gita, etc and impart them the knowledge of their religion. It is really needed that a kid should have knowledge about religion and parents should lay a foundation to it. By making kids aware of some matters relating to religion than in future they can emerge out as a civilized person.

Observance of religion at workplace

There are many religions like Christianity, Judaism, Jainism, Hinduism, Islamic, etc are followed. The person who goes for job is also a religious person. Many religions have their own festival like Hindu’s have Dasshera, Christian’s have Christmas, and Muslims have Eid and these all religions also some spiritual observance day. A worker may request a holiday on these days in order to celebrate their religious festival and fulfill their religious commitments or attend ceremonies. An employer should reasonably consider and being practical should allow the employee with a holiday. Some employs may have religious belief and dietary requirements. For example: if a worker follows specific religion and it requirement that worker should be vegetarian. Than at office, worker cannot place his food with the co-workers food that is having meat and beef in his food. So, for this it is the sole duty of company to order workers to bring their food in containers and company should make different shelves for vegetarian and non-vegetarian workers.           

Therefore, it is believed that religion is losing its lust and its importance is declining and the driving force behind this is the modern civilization, and its decline would lead mankind to the self destructive path.
