Planning The Perfect Baby Shower

Hosting a baby shower to your soon-to-be-mom best friend can be the best gift you could bring her to lift her spirit. Often parents are sometimes concerned with the pressure and monetary requirements that come with the baby. Having a baby shower will ensure that the new mom have a great time for herself, while receiving a ton of gifts to help her with the new born! The following tips are the secrets to having a perfect baby shower that everyone would enjoy.

Pick a theme for the baby shower

The first step is to visualize the kind of baby shower the mom to be, would enjoy. It is always safer to go for a classy, girly gathering in the mom’s house. However, some people may prefer a more fun theme like a baby-cue! Baby-cues are basically barbecue baby shower parties. These can be so much fun, especially in the summer time when a BBQ would be very much appreciated. Furthermore, you could plan a baby shower co-ed party that is a party involving both men and women. This is a great idea if dads would like to be involved as well.

Create a guest list

Doing this step carefully will give you a good and precise idea on the number of people you will be hosting in the party. This will be a very important factor when choosing the place to host the event, as well as the food menu you plan to offer. Before you go ahead and invite everyone she knows, ask if the mom to be is planning another baby shower somewhere else, like for her work colleagues for instance. In that case, you only have to invite her family and personal friends without involving her work group, thus saving you unnecessary expenses.

Decide you budget

This step must be done early in the planning process. The two main things that you should focus on are the place where you will hold the event, and the baby shower menu. If you have limited budget, it is always a good idea to host the baby shower at your home or a close friend’s home which can accommodate larger number of people. This will save you a considerable amount of money that you can now spend to upgrade your menu and make it impressive and appealing to your guests.

Look for a co-host

If the guest list you have put together earlier is too big, ask one of the mom’s close friends to be your co-host. Do not worry; they would love to be a part of such an important event in her life. You can both split the expenses between you two, or if the budget is really tight, you could make some homemade luxury snacks by yourselves.
